StrongStart

Ages 0 - 5 (with parents)

The Strong Start program gives children a head start on early literacy, play, sharing, and socialization. If you are interested in helping your children to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills at an early age-before they enter kindergarten - we highly recommend the Strong Start program.

StrongStart BC is a free drop-in early learning program for preschool-aged children accompanied by a parent or caregiver. A qualified early childhood educator leads activities, including stories, music, and arts, to help children grow linguistically, emotionally and socially, and become comfortable in a school-like setting.

Our StrongStart BC Centres give you and your child the opportunity to:

  • experience art with a variety of mediums
  • develop all the senses
  • explore water or sand
  • learn songs & verses
  • listen and read stores
  • enjoy imaginary play
  • build with blocks
  • experiment with natural and real materials

StrongStart BC is offered in partnership with School District #34 and the BC Minsitry of Education.
